SEIU has been in contract negotioations for over a year and a half with the city of Emeryville. They are trying to get decent medical and retirement benifits for all employee's, much like the police and fire departments who went without a contract for over 2 years. Until........ the mayor had an unfortunate accident.
Then "Coicidentally" The police and fire depatment have a contract.
Question, Where did the mayor dissapear to for 4 hours after the accident? Sobering up at the fire department? Was there a drug and alcohol screen to follow?
In other news,
The city says it has no money, maybe they spent it all on a 5 million dollar settlment for harrasment, maybe they could have saved some money if they had fired the person who caused it, instead of promoting her.
No money, or is this just a punishment for the lawsuit?
Residents and media should show for the November 18th council meeting to learn the truth.
